There's lots of rumours that a Triceratops mummy is going to be described (but yes, they're only rumours. Apparrently, it shows that Triceratops had crocodilian like scales, osteoderms on the back, and weird bumps on the tail, which possibly could've anchored quills.

Oh, there is no mummy... just extensive skin impressions. Yes, this work has been presented at conferences but not yet published.

The skin was also laser-scanned and used to texture the models in Dinosaur Revolution.

The things on the back aren't osteoderms, just broad scales (osteoderms by definition are bon armor embedded in the skin).

Just the first two episodes, second two moved to the Science Channel which I don't get... have to YouTube it sometime or wait for the DVD.

Everybody talks about it but haven't seen a single episode. Will probably be available on Netflix in a few months...
